4 small Mako shark steaks (2 to 4 ounces each)
1/4 cup red wine
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lightly crushed white peppercorns
1/4 cup capers
Wash steaks well. Pat dry and place on medium
platter. Combine red wine, lemon juice, garlic, and
olive oil. Pour over fish steaks, coating each well.
Marinate for 1-2 hours in refrigerator. Sprinkle
crushed peppercorns on a cutting board or covered
surface. Coat both sides of each steak with
peppercorns. Place steaks on a broiler pan and broil
for 8 minutes. Sprinkle with capers and broil for
2-3 minutes longer, or until fish is done in center.
